Recently, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization announced the list of Shanghai's "Specialized, Refined, Unique and Innovative" SMEs for 2025 (second batch). Lightstandard was successfully selected for the list thanks to its unique phase change material optical computing and its innovative achievements that lead the global optical computing industry.

Shanghai has always attached great importance to the development of "specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative" enterprises. In April 2025, the General Office of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government issued the "Several Measures of Shanghai Municipality to Promote the Development and Growth of Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative Small and Medium-sized Enterprises." "Specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative" refers to enterprises that possess the development characteristics of specialization, refinement, distinctiveness, and innovation, have long been deeply involved in a specific market segment, have strong innovation capabilities, high market share, and master key core technologies. This recognition is an affirmation of the core technological competitiveness and market application potential of Lightstandard.

Since its establishment in 2022, Lightstandard Co., Ltd. has been committed to providing new computing chips and system solutions for high-performance computing fields such as large-scale models, scientific computing, and embodied intelligence. Utilizing unique technologies such as silicon photonics and phase change materials heterogeneous integration, and a Crossbar photonic matrix computing structure, it is currently the only company in the world to achieve commercialized optical chip-based in-memory computing. It can integrate 128×128, 256×256, and even larger matrices onto a single chip, with over 16,000 nodes, each fully adjustable. This combination of ultra-high computing power and ultra-low energy consumption makes it ideal for large-scale AI computing needs. In June 2024, the company successfully taped out the world's first 128×128 matrix-scale optical computing chip with computing power density and accuracy reaching commercial standards, breaking through a long-standing bottleneck in the optical computing industry. The company has been listed on the World Economic Forum's "Global Technology Pioneers List" in Davos and won the highest award in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Disruptive Technology Innovation Competition.
