On December 1, at the Saudi Industrial Transformation Expo held at the Riyadh International Exhibition Centre in Saudi Arabia, a series of optical computing products showcased by Lightstandard attracted widespread attention from downstream application companies, investment institutions, and government departments from around the world. Bandar Khulaf, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia, specifically invited Xiong Yinjiang, co-founder and chairman of Lightstandard, to exchange views on future cooperation.

The Saudi business leaders and government officials attending the conference highly praised the disruptive innovation of Lightstandard. They were particularly impressed upon hearing that using optical computing solutions to build intelligent computing centers significantly reduced annual power consumption, exclaiming, "We need this technology!"

Saudi Arabia launched its "Vision 2030" plan as early as 2016, with economic diversification and reducing dependence on oil being key objectives. Currently, the artificial intelligence industry has been incorporated into Saudi Arabia's "Vision 2030" as a crucial driver of future economic development, creating an urgent need for infrastructure such as intelligent computing centers and data centers. By 2025, 91% of Saudi organizations plan to deploy AI agents, but currently only 29% possess sufficient GPU capacity. Therefore, Saudi Arabia urgently needs a new low-energy AI computing paradigm to support its national development strategy.

Since assuming the post of Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources in 2019, Bandar Khuleif has visited China multiple times as Saudi Arabia's representative to promote exchanges and cooperation in science and technology and the economy between the two countries, as well as the implementation of projects. He also enjoys engaging in exchanges with founders of Chinese high-tech enterprises. Bandar Khuleif expressed strong interest in optical computing solutions from Lightstandard, engaging in in-depth discussions on how optical computing can promote industrial innovation, and stated his commitment to actively promoting cooperation between the two sides.

In fact, in many countries around the world with limited power resources, there are constantly cases of companies purchasing a large number of computing cards only to find that they cannot use them. Furthermore, the prediction that "Moore's Law is about to expire" has caused concern among countless companies. Lightstandard uses phase change materials and a Crossbar photonic matrix computing structure in its optical computing chips. It can complete an AI computing task with only one electric drive, and its static power consumption is zero. This can solve the pain points of both computing power shortage and power shortage for enterprises.
